I love coins from Terina and I've had this coin for over a decade. It's a little light for a drachm (1/3 stater) but too heavy for a triobol (1/6 stater). It has the number "1421" (upside down) in India ink on the obverse.

It might be deaccessioned from the Carnegie Museum of Natural history sold by Spink, possibly Auction 43 04/18/1985. For the deaccessioned Carnegie coins, see Ex Museum Collection Numbered Coins | Coin Talk
The numbers look very similar to the ones on the Ptolemy I tet.

Spink 43 is listed at Newman Numismatic Portal and on Internet Archives, but it cannot be viewed because of restricted access.
    1. Does anyone have this catalog?
    2. If not from Carnegie, any other ideas where the coin was marked with this number?
    3. Does anyone have a coin with similar numbering?
    4. Finally, does anyone know how to remove India ink from a silver coin without affecting the toning?

    Hi @Silphium Addict,

Thanks for bringing up the Carnegie Collection. If anyone has that catalog can you also please look up the CoinTalk item quoted and let me know if it’s in the catalog? Many thanks in advance!
