Perhaps they think there's a problem with the "B" in the serial #; or the fact that it's a star note??? What did the listing describe? What does the reverse look like?
It’s a Star Note and the B in the serial number is a little messed up. But I think they are going for the left edge of the bill as it’s cut crooked. Not sure if this has been recut afterwards on not but I’d stay away from this one.
It looks like 4 places on the note have been doctored in some way…definitely a hard pass on this one…imo…Spark
Actually 7. This note was an "L" or San Francisco Reserve Bank star note which is also known as District 12. Someone changed the L's to B's and removed the 1's in 12. Why? Because a New York District note of this series has a potential of being worth a couple of grand where the L district is worth a dollar in this condition.
