Family attitudes to your coin collecting?

    apparently my mother in law knows somebody who just went to the US and she asked them to get some coins for me.
    To bad she did not inform me of it before they went, otherwise i could have asked some specific things (like rolls)
    But i get the coins this weeken from her, so i could say she supports it :p

    or if your wife is acollector thats a way to get out of it. i know it mostly men who collect coins, but theres a handful of chicks

    I'm the only one in my immediate family that collects coins, and I've never heard of any of my relatives that collect or used to collect coins, so I think I may be the first.
    My parents don't mind it, they just always make sure they point out they don't want me to waste my money when I get a new one in the mail or come home with a new one.
    And pretty much all of my friends think it's strange that I collect and have an interest in coins and silver.

    I think it will be easy to get your son into collecting, especially at a young age, thats when I became interested. The old coins are just so fascinating and especially at a young age.
