I bid on this last night on a whim and can’t wait to have it in hand. It’s my first ancient Egyptian coin and I was attracted by the surfaces and color as well as the nicely centered strike. Although it’s not quite as cool looking as the snakes posted on the other Alexandrian thread, I like the eagle on the reverse. As always when I buy an ancient coin I did a bit of reading and find the monetary history of Roman Egypt quite interesting. Based on past auction results it appears the Nero issues are the most common. My coin looks like it contains a lot more copper than silver.
That's a fantastic coin. He is someone I don't have in Alexandrian form. Fairly rare to acquire too. They are fun to collect. I focused on them for a long time before I took a break on collecting.
