will probably save the 2nd for tomorrow night Anyhoo... 1st box Weighing in at 140.3 grams... a peek at the core color... That's a black core no doubt Ok enough hoohoo I pretty much broke even on this one 1888 S Morgan in AU58/ngcx8.8... I'm happy so far
quick answer "random high end coin" More details here but this series sold out in 1hr 15 minutes will be at least a few months before the next offering https://vaultbox.com/product/series-7/
Not the best year but in this case the mint mark being s with a mintage of just over 600k "S"s in 1888 it makes it harder to come by then most of the CC dollars survival estimate is just under 7k mostly in lower grades
I'm glad that you came out pretty well. It's a handsome coin, probably my favorite type of U.S. coins.
OK... I "peeked" but only at the slab color..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! That's RED more tomorrow (Muhahahahaha) (god i'm killing myself not looking further yet lol) dreaming of a 93s tonight lol
Ok here we go.. RedCore reveal... Let's say I'm happy with the coin but as it not a series i collect or have major interest in will probably trade it off.. Instant offer on it is only 425 so won't be going that way as i'm sure I can swap or sell it for a nice CC morgan or ebay it as i've no doubt i can do better then 425 for her
9.2 grade What does that translate to in English What about the environment grime on it? Seriously though MSXX? AUXX? Is there a conversation chart somewhere?
I googled it and found nothing. I googled it again just now and found a picture of this chart but it's on X and whished me to log in...well I don't X so BuffaloHunter is more useful than X, must be that new math thing Guess NGC is rolling this out rather slowly
Congrats! I picked up two as well for the first time. Opened a black insert with a 1936 Elgin commemorative half in 9.4, and the other I gave to my father. I noticed while watching box openings for series 7 that a lot of these had not-great eye appeal and was disappointed by many of the coins they purchased this time around.
