I’d have to agree it looks fake. The surfaces are too grainy looking and the rims don’t look natural either, but I’m not an expert. I’m sure members who are experts will chime in soon…imo…Spark
Certainly does not look natural. Either fake or abused. If abused, it was originally uncirculated, so why would anyone do that to it? Perhaps they wanted to get rid of PVC residue or heavy tarnish, or perhaps they wanted to shine it up for jewelry.
How about some strait forward full obverse and reverse Pics of the coin. Angles cause a distortion problem to the viewer. Just some straightforward pics of all three sides. Yeah, don't forget the reeding!
Looks like some nickels after I used Ferric chloride III and HCL acid (Muriatic). The solution was for making printed circuit boards 50 tears ago. Works on nickles , but is not -controllable and quite visible. Why on this coin, I have no idea. I would not have.
