1878 CC Morgan - Grade and Value Please

    It actually looks much better in hand, nice, even old patina. I do not believe it has been cleaned.

    There are darker areas inside the lettering and around the stars on the obverse, usually that indicates an improper cleaning. The reverse shows it too…imo…Spark

    Definitely cleaned a long time ago. I’d say about $200 but if it went for $250 I wouldn’t be surprised. After all, it’s a CC and they tend to bring more than normal.

    Looks like it has at least a shot at XF40 to me.
    VF35 sounds fair.

    My grade would be VF-20. It has quite a bit of wear. The Grey Sheet price is $120.
