A miscellaneous coin tray find from long ago .....It's a real pity it has those nicks and scratches, but I think quite nice overall?

I wouldn't have passed on it. Both my 21's are in much worse detail than that.

Very nice find and those nicks are small so really not distracting at all.

    Nice one!
Feeling bad for you, just not that bad. Still an empty spot in my neglected Dansco album.Note to self: You can afford it, indulge

Thank you all for your comments - this was a lucky find a looong time ago, late 80's); I still remember, though, I paid about 20 DM for it (about $10-12 dollars back then, probably $30 in todays money). There were good finds to be made, and even better in the 60's and 70's I am sure.

    Thank, you, Michael.
EF40? I don't know with all those nicks I would have thought maybe VF20 or so.

Key date gets a little leeway. There is great detail on this coin which does not look cleaned. You are right the rim damage in those few spots takes it down.
    I am still VF-30.
