Folks - I am in the midst of going through a bunch of world coins that I inherited from my Grandparents. These coins have been sitting around for years, and about a year ago I was asked to sort through them so that they can be equally distributed between myself and my two brothers. Please note that if indeed any of these are of value, I will be unable to offer any of them for sale, as I am accountable to my family for splitting custodianship of them. I'm not a world coin expert. Since we have an international crew here, and lots of forum members are experts in their own ares, I wondered if members could kindly take a few moments to review the list. For the sake of making this easier on me to split three-ways, whether indeed true or not, I am automatically assuming that every specimen listed here is equal to US $4.00, and each is in 'Fine' condition. If you should see specimens that are worth more than $4.00 (or the equivalent thereof in your own home currency), I would be most appreciative if you could point it/them out. Responses with line number and your guessed value (in whatever currency most easiest) would be most appreciated. If you would like to see a particular specimen, please also feel free to ask, and I can post images. Thanks, kindly CheetahCats 1. Argentina 10 Centavos 1944 2. Aruba 10 Cents 1991 3. You have no silver Japanese coins, so unless they are high grade uncirculated examples, your Japanese coins are essentially worth face value - less than $3 for the whole batch. May I recommend a trip to your local public library, where you will be able to consult the Standard Catalog of World Coins, aka "Krause"? On a sight-unseen basis, if you had posted an auction of the entire lot, my bid would be well under $100. IMHO if you simply counted them out into three piles, it would make a fair distribution.
Good. That's what I wanted to hear. Don't want to come across as being lazy, it seemed much quicker doing it this way And judging by the quantity of views (1542) and only 1 response, I think I've gotten what I thought was already the answer!
