Could be one of the most common images on coinages through the ages. I was taking random shots of coins today and had two there. Here are a some others. The Greek coin at the bottom is probably the oldest coin I have.
that thread has been done already...link: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/li...h-horse-s-in-main-design.286795/#post-2574268
I tried to use horses to entice my wife to get into collecting as she loves horses. No luck! Here's one I have photographed.
German States (Teutonic Order): silver 1/4-thaler of Grand Master Maximilian of Austria, ca. 1615 France: silver jeton of Louis XV, "Aurora in cloud chariot", undated (ca. 1740) Great Britain: gold half-sovereign of Queen Victoria, 1901, from the Terner Collection
Not totally sure, but it looks normal to me. All the digits and characters on that coin have this "almost outline" style, see here: http://www.cnb.cz/en/banknotes_coins/coins/animace.html The animation requires Flash, I think. Pick the 20 kč piece, and select the 1993 version (2000 is a commem with a different design). Then you can see the details ... Christian
Thanks, I have one in my collection but my collection is stored away since I'm moving to Germany soon. That letter stuck out to me for some reason.
This topic has been covered extensively in other threads: A horse of course (Oct 2011) For the love of horses (Nov 2012) And another posted last month List of numismatics with horses (Nov 2016)
Not doubled -- the text is "outline" style. Here are my two examples of the coin. The 2010 is the lowest mintage of the entire series. I have a couple raw mint sets from 2010, but haven't sent it in for grading (yet?).
