What is a radar note? The term radar as it applies to US currency implies the sequence of the serial number. As you can see the word “RADAR” is spelled the same forward and backwards. Therefore if the serial number reads the same forward as it does backwards, it’s a radar note. Radar notes are considered scarce because of the method in which tellers get cash from the federal reserve banks. Mathematical odds of finding one of these is roughly 1 out of every 12,000 notes printed. I posted this one yesterday. Not only are the numbers in the serial number the same but so is the lettering before and after the serial number. I just found this one in the same unpacked box from 24 years ago. It’s from the same Federal Reserve Bank and the serial number is a little higher. Here is a third Radar note, also from the Minnesota Reserve Bank but the letters are a Radar, just the serial number. Please post your Radar notes.
I think a currency collector who might also be a tax accountant would fancy this particular note a bit more than other RADAR's.
