I have been to more coin shows than I can count, but I have never been to any major event. The largest shows I have attended had around 75 dealers (estimate). I plan to attend a show in Houston in December that the estimate says 250 dealers. I know of the Long Beach Expo... What are the biggest? What are they like?

The two annual ANA shows, summer and winter, are also quite large. Coupled with FUN, those 3 are probably the biggest every year.

As to what they are like, no different than smaller shows, just more of it. A lot more.

The Baltimore Show is pretty big. I've been once and I plan on going again this year.

As previously stated, the FUN Show is one of the biggest in the country. It is also the first show of the year and provides a sort of forecast for the rest of the year's activity.

I've seen the FUN show while watching "Cool Coins" videos. I was unaware it was a major show.

Look at the picture at the link Chris provided, that's about 10% of the show visible in the pic.

Wow! That's incredible and almost hard to imagine. I'm looking at how feasible it would be for me to attend right now. That would be really cool.

I thought the Spring show was huge. Are you saying that the Winter one is even *bigger*, or did you just use that since it is closer?

Speaking of the 2015 Orlando FUN, who amongst us will be there?

The Summer FUN in July has about 800 dealers while the Winter FUN in January has 1200+ dealers.

I saw that on their site. That's incredible. I would love to be a part of that.

I did know about the Long Beach show. That is one that is often in the headlines (at least I've seen it there).

The Winter FUN Show is getting close, and anyone who has interest in attending should better think about making reservations very soon. As a suggestion from someone who has attended quite a few, if you're hoping to find cheap room rates, you might not be too happy with the accommodations and location. Keep in mind that this is the "SEASON" for tourism in Florida!

Also keep in mind you have Universal Studio to your north, Sea World on top of you and Disney to the south. If vacationers are not staying in one of the park lodgings at these attractions, the hotels in this area would be their next choice.

The biggest show I have attended was the 2000 Central States Convention at the Minneapolis Convention Center. I wish the CSNS would rotate locations instead of having in Chicagoland every year now. It is actually bigger than the 2013 RCNA in Winnipeg. I enjoyed both shows.

I'm going to look into those shows as well. Thanks for the input!

I noticed that yesterday when I was looking at the hotels' websites around the area. I'm planning on doing a Disney vacation next year anyway, but that time of the year is the "busy season" with my workplace.

If they are preschool age, I liked early fall for a trip there. The older ones just started school and the parents don't usually take them out to go on vacation. If the kids are older, then the extended hours during the summer make staying on the property that much better.

Does anyone know if companies such as silvertowne and vulture peak attend these? Maybe a quick trip to Fl in January is in order!

Are these the shows that NGC / PCGS attend that you can get coins graded and slabbed at the show (albeit for a bit more money per coin than usual)? I have a couple of coins I want to get graded, but it's just a couple.
