So I just learned about these and I gotta admit I'm intrigued. I'm pretty sure it's just because they used the term "experimental", lol. They were printed on an experimental continuous roll feed system instead of sheet fed and covered 3 different series of notes. I find older series notes from time to time but was wondering if anyone ever came across one of these here? I know they were once in circulation from pics of circulation worn examples but no idea what the odds are now. (The top note with red boxes are the web press compared to sheet fed with the blue boxes) Images are all from Wikipedia.
I have several Web notes, but find the S and R notes of the experimental one dollar bills, more interesting. Uncut four sheet with signature. Experimental notes And let's not forget the Giori examples

I've got a few web notes too. Some have almost 'fun' serial numbers, or at least decent for liars poker.
Wow! I honestly didn't expect to see so many so quickly, but I guess y'all have a few years jump on me in the collecting department, lol. Were all these web press notes found in circulation?
I've searched several thousand dollars worth of singles from various local credit unions, I have had yet to find a Web Note.
Nice experimental R & S 1935 notes @Mountain Man Nice fancy serial #06000600 Web notes @masterswimmer Super dramatic error on the 1993 & amazing 1988 replacement @SteveInTampa I have a 1995 (from Cleveland) & a 1988 (but no scan of that one):
I have a web note with an error I haven't seen or heard of. The back right edge margin from top to bottom has a ruler look with tiny black segments about 75% of the right margin edge from top to bottom. Does anyone on this forum here know how this could happen or what term for this type of error is called, which are rare on web notes? Is this even considered an error?
I have found a handful (5-10) from circulation, but I have not seen one for several years. They are fun to find, they look just a bit different if you look carefully. Almost like looking for counterfeits: The web portrait is not as good and the note looks a little off.
Thanks: Down loading photos isn't the easiest thing for me to do at this time. I will try & figure it out. I'm not new in the field of collecting paper money & have a good idea of most error types there are. I was thinking this might have came off the end or edge of the roll of paper used. It looks real not drawn on like with a pen or that type of ink used in writing. I will get on trying to get the photos posted. Thanks, to all for reading.
