I recently got these 2 1934d $5 silver certificates, a 1953 $2 star note, and a 2006 $1 star note. I got all of them for face value. What do you think the value of these is?
So not looking at the list for $1.oo stars I'd say keep it it's only a dollar. The two $5.00 bills I couldn't get $6.00 for some of mine. and the $2. star its beat up just keep them I feel there is no numismatic value.
Well, if you're interesting in selling, you could try eBay with the five dollar notes... either sell them individually like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1934D-5-FIVE-DOLLAR-BILL-SILVER-CERTIFICATE-BLUE-SEAL-BANKNOTE-LOT-T98-/130741281540?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e70c9a304 Or as a pair: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-2-1934-D-Blue-Seal-5-Dollar-Silver-Certificate-Notes-note-bill-5-five-/221091026537?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337a0d5669
The only thing I see there that wouldn't fetch you some premium (even if small) is the $1 star. The others should sell for a couple bucks extra easily.
Here is my opinion: The 2006 $1 star is face value. The 1934D $5 with the purple mark on it might fetch $10 to $12. The 1953 $2 star is probably worth about $5. The 1934D $5 with the tear will get you $7-$8.
I wont comment on the other notes, but... As far as the 2006 $1 B-* note... that is actually from a print run that I am actively collecting. You can see the details of the small "project" I am working on by clicking >>HERE<< This particular note is from plate position D4 which I already have an example of, but I am still offering $3 regardless of condition.
