There’s a big space in GOD and liberty it’s a little distorted as well as most places in the coin. Thank you!
I'm not seeing anything at all. Just a normal cent with chemical stains on the surface. Probably a car cup holder coin with soda spilled into it.
I can't offer any assessment with a picture like that. What you need to do is select Full Size, NOT thumbnail, when you post the picture. However, before that, you should edit the picture and crop out everything except the coin itself. Seeing any background, such as your palm is unnecessary, and very distracting.
Ok thank you I will do that next time thats also not my Palm that’s on a sleeping bag that looks a lot like skin
Copper is really reactive, that’s part of why the coin is stained like that. Beyond that I’m not seeing anything out of the ordinary on the coin.
No. Common. Some may be profiting off this but it's not an error per se. Lincoln Cent Spike Heads 2010-2019 : Cuds on Coins (cuds-on-coins.com)
No just a common occurance. It is the beginning of die failure. If the die crack went rim to rim or the coin showed a bilevel die face then that is rare.
Hello I've got a 2014 penny with a marking that either looks like a upside down D or an 8 maybe. It's located right above the nose...is it worth anything?
Start a new unique separate thread. Pictures are needed! Don't think about premiums at the moment. First learn the difference between a true mint error and post mint damage on coins. This Mint Errors forum is more for education not about getting rich. By the way, most true errors you will find in circulation have very little or no premium at all.
Happend to pick up a 1949 Cent and a 2009 cent and the spacing appears to be the same as your modern coin. Jim
The spacing in GOD looks normal to me. What looks like a die crack is most likely a plating bubble as this is a 2014 coin. The photo is just too blurry for me to tell.
Back in the stone age when I worked in retail jewelry I would always get phone calls from folks asking me how much their diamond ring etc. was worth. After a while of fielding such calls my standard response was to say "hold it closer to the phone so I can see it."
