xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The coin is not a fake nor is it a coin. It is a silver "round" made at a private mint. It is worth the value of the silver it contains.
well if they are original morgans with no wear marks at all, i would suggest to have them graded, could be worth a lot, the coins themselves raw they are worth a good bit
It's not a fake morgan, it's an silver art round, just bullion silver, as noted "one troy oz." of ".999 fine silver" on the reverse above and below the eagle. The reproduction of the morgan design is poor, but if it's real silver, then you can find the spot price of silver here: kitco.com Many private mints recreate famous US coinage designs on their bullion.
It is a fake morgan, its not an original morgan, its just a silver round that they made to look like a morgan. It's worth an oz. of silver though, good to keep
Oh brother! It's not even close enough in similarity to an actual Morgan to be mistaken as a fake in the sense of a counterfeit, let alone it declares it's silver content which an actual Morgan does not. It is not a fake Morgan and this is not semantics.
I agree, its just a design copy on a silver round, in my opinion if someone was selling these as morgans that would be classified as a fake morgan.
so its weighs exactly 1.105 and the curent price of silver is 17.07 so its worth 18.65 you would say?
Take a look at the edge of the coin. A lot of silver rounds by private companies will list the purity of the silver on the edge. Also, many rounds have smooth edges whereas the real Morgan dollars have reeded edges.
I would definatly keep those though, like krispy said they are worth silver price for an oz. these are a good investment.
Please look at the reverse of the coin in the OP, it says ".999 fine silver" The purity is as plain as day (assuming the source is reputable).
