Hi everyone, I found this Die Clash Nickel 1981 P. Notice the strong doubled lines, to reverse, & also strong clash to obverse. Noticeable "TS" from "CENTS" on obverse, also "M" & "O" from "MONTICELLO". What ya'll think? Also, estimated value? Thanks as always!

It is a very nice atypical clash with 2 clash events. As for a counter clash, you would need very clear close up pics to tell. If you have a loupe you can tell, if you know what to look for. Maddieclashes.com has a 1981 counter clash with 2 clash events listed. It is similar, but definitely not exactly like yours. The two clashes on it are in different places. Check out this link. It should help you out. I would love to have that coin, so remember me if you decide to part ways with it.

  6. Thanks all. I do see a 2nd "O" on reverse (2nd O in monticello) which would be a type 1 counter clash, ((This is what I gather from maddieclashes.com)). Thanks again! I am taking private offers.....

Nice double clash coin you have here , I may have one like it in my collection but not sure. I collect die clash coins and the major ones like this are hard to find because the mint workers destroys the dies soon after they get damaged this bad.

There's no doubt there are at least two clash events. Being both are so strong I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't a type 1 counterclash somewhere. In terms of the O from Monticello being counterclashed specifically, I would have to see it in person. It certainly is listable on maddieclashes.com.
