    Hello,

Well due to a couple requests (lol) and curiousness by me, I'm posting this coin to see what you may think it's worth and it's grade. Bought it last year for honestly very little money and knew I did pretty well.
I graded it an MS-63 myself by using ANA standards but of course, so far I am the only one who has graded it and by no mean am I an expert.
There's 5 pictures total, 3 I took outside on a sunny day, 1 of those is my profile picture and 2 I took tonight.
When your done, please vote on witch grade it is and your comments are greatly appreciated.

The pictures outside show more of the luster but the close ups show so much detail and marks you can't see in the others. I'm giving it MS62 because of the distractions on the obverse still a nice one especially since you said you got it cheap. Oh yeah I'm no expert that's just an opinion based on what I would have thought when looking to buy.

And I thank you for it! :)

That's also one of the reasons why I chose outside and inside pictures, outside to show luster, inside to show detail and marks

While the sunlit photos do show luster, they hide the telltale death signs. The two scratches (gouges) on her neck make this coin, in my opinion, "MS Details - Damaged".

Regardless of what others may feel, I wouldn't pay much more than spot for it.

It depends on how the TPGs interpret those scratches across the neck. If they interpret them as PMD (Post-Mint Damage), it won't grade. If they interpret them as TIMD (Transient Intra-Mint Discordance), it will grade. If they interpret one of them as PMD and the other one as TIMD, then the half they interpret as PMD won't grade, but the other half they interpret as TIMD will grade. If the grader got lucky the night before, he probably won't even notice the scratches.

Charlie, she has great luster. Whether you submit her, or not, she's a keeper, in my book. She just had a little misfortune, so what, nobody's perfect. :)

Exactly, one of the best for luster in my album actually.

I'm thinking MS details as well. Those marks on her neck look really bad in the first image.

It looks like it could have been cleaned, so I may say MS Details. If not cleaned it would be MS-61

I was going to say MS61 but with all the post about TPG's over grading I went 62 as my evaluation because in the light it could go MS63 even at PCGS. As for the marks on the neck I could lean either way PMD or transit as @eddiespin said if @Lehigh96 says PMD he's by far the expert when it comes to what PCGS says rather me. It's a gamble and you still a nice piece for the album if they detail it. Thanks Eddie for giving me some insight as to the transit damage explanation I learn something on here every time I read a thread.

AU58.......When i view this coin i see slight wear on the cotton bolls, the 2nd leaf cluster down on the right and in the hair most notably.....which is why i believe the scratches are from circulation not cleaning imo, hence all the remaining luster.... But what on earth is going on with the 1st U in pluribus???

au58. it looks like it has enjoyed a harsh cleaning. at least based on the photos.

To me it doesn't look cleaned to me, I doubt that but then again..... who knows.

By the way, what does TPG mean?

IE: tpg= third party grading.... when u get a chance bust out your glass and take a good look @ the 1st U in pluribus... idk if thats damage or if its some sort of a mint error which could explain the neck gouges... Looks funny to me and if u have the capability could u post a closeup of said letter? If its just damage then disregard everything i said

Ahhhh of course! Third Party Grading.

I haven't noticed that myself either on the coin or in the pictures until you mentioned it. I will do that hopefully tomorrow.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The gouges on the cheek preclude a problem free slab for me. UNC Details, Damaged.
