It is easy to draw a comparison between the US Mint and drug dealers. Once they get you hooked they can do what they want with the prices. I got out a few years ago.

I quit buying Silver Proof Sets in 2017. $47.95. Previous years were $67.95 and $53.95. Certainly not worth it at $130.00.

Why shouldn' the mint raise prices? Every business has,and I do believe it is every business. I love all these articles about practically all prices are increased or still on the rise with sizeflation. Then a couple articles later the middle class being warned they are not saving enough for retirement. My parents were correct, when I was a young boy, about where they said we were headed. It did take a few decades longer, but they were correct.

  7. I wonder how many dealers bought up a bunch of silver coins from the mint and will sell them for a quick small profit, for example buy a silver proof set for 130 and sell it in the middle for 140.
