Here is a 1972-S Proof Eisenhower dollar that I do not consider to be worth more that melt value as it has a blemish at the bottom point of bust. But it is a Struck Through Foreign Object Proof Coin. (wire?). It must be worth more as an error above anything else that it is. Does anyone have an estimate of a fair market value for this as an error coin? Thanks for looking.
It's a very minor strikethrough. In my mind, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Chris
Strikes through lint are not rare on proof coins, but they are not common either. It's a very thin market, and your coin will only fetch a meager premium from the right buyer, and that person could take a while to locate.
Thats the way it is, its a buyer controlled market. Only real way to know what you'll get for an error coin is to sell it. nice coin. Wish I could say the same for my poor Ike
A very nice strike through @alurid. It should add a small amount to it's value. Sure a shame about that blemish.
