Sadly, I reckon they're pretty common. Just pulled these two out of my wallet.

They start to be worth money when they exibit certain patterns like 11111111 or 12344321 or 12341234 or 11223344. One of the best ones I fould in circulation is a $1 with the serial 77066077.

Scotto I collect what I like

Keep looking, there are some good serial numbers as bqcoins mentioned and they are are overlooked. Keep your eyes open and a good one will turn up.

  7. Speaking of that .... It takes some time but you can still find cool ones in circulation.

    Happy hunting,

i just found a 00000691 $5 bill the other day. that's the lowest serial i have found so far. i also have my radar note 45599554. my only double repeater is 22448866 which is cool because it's all the even numbers... too bad it isn't in sequence!!!

Would a bill something like 42888853 be worth anything? (4 same digits)?

Hey all, I'm at work right now, and I got 2 bills with cool serial numbers today:

    2004 $20: EH 02233550 A (Coolness factor of 96.2%)

    2003A $1: H 26666617 B (Coolness factor of 98.1%)

I'm probably going to buy them from my drawer. Yay for working with money!

Have any of you ever played "liars poker"? With a bill in hand, the players keep bidding up until someone challenges. If the bidder is able to put together the bid from all of the dollars involved, then he collects all of the bills. For example, a bid of six nines requires at least six nines to be evident on the collection of bills.

As I remember ones are considered aces, so either of these two dollar bills with a bunch of ones or nines would be valuable in that game. If those numbers were on ones, that is.

I found this bill in my avitar in high school and kept it specifically to play liars poker. I folded it up and kept it in a pocket of my wallet. I took it out and refolded it numerous times. Now its in pretty poor shape. live and learn...

Sorry to ask, but what is a 'radar note' ?

More technically described as a "Palindrome number" it reads the same back to front or front to back - for example 12344321.

The word "radar" is itself a palindrome. ;)
