    Good evening everyone,

I got home today and received 2 silver bars that I purchased from Ebay in the mail. They were just in small ziplock bags and neither bar has a serial number stamped on them like the other bars I have purchased, is this normal?

They look identical to the serial numbered bars I have but was wondering if they could be fake? I grabbed the strongest magnet I could find and it doesn't stick so they seem real - just wondering why they have no #'s?
    Thanks!

    Evom777 Make mine .999

Both the major players like Silvertown and smaller mints tend to do this with their basic issue bars. I have run across several bars that are like this. Usually the numbered bars are the first run followed by later issues that are not numbered. I would not worry too much about Your bars being fake. : )

    Thanks Evom777,

I was just digging around and actually just looked on their website and noticed there are no SN's so it made me feel better! Although it is still interesting to know that info about the numbers - THANKS!

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

They are in all likelihood real. If you were really paranoid, you could check their specific gravity.
