It looks too damaged from post-mint defects to be worth anything, but the characteristics of this coin are outstanding. The rim on the obverse looks like it could've been caused post-mint, but the extra material by Roosevelt's mouth and on the reverse as well look incredible. The "B" and the "E" in LIBERTY on the obverse look like they could've been worn off over the years or something similar to that. I advise for you not to clean it in any way whatsoever if you are planning to send it to PCGS or NGC if it so happens to be a legitimate error from the mint. I also suggest for you to do some good, extensive research in the different types and variations of error coins and mint defections for the Roosevelt Dimes, more specifically dimes dates in the 1970s. Yes... I suffer from insomnia... ask any member who has known me on CoinTalk over the years... I am on 24/7 By the way, Welcome to CoinTalk
Can you please let me know why you think it is damaged by heat? I would think that the coin would have a different color if it had got hot a nuff to distort/damage the coin. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would like to know does anyone know how much this dime error from 2017 is worth?, looks like extra metal on Rossevelts cheek bone?

The person that posted this hasn’t been seen since, or for the last 6 years when they originally posted it in October of 2017. This coin is in the error forum but it is suffering from damage. It’s not a mint error of any type. Welcome to CT.
