At a high school reunion this past weekend one of the alumni with a really large quantity of "junk silver" asked me about valuing and selling it. I recommended getting a Red Book and using it as a guide to pulling out any key dates before offering the rest to a dealer. He lives in Tampa, so does anyone have a recommendation on where to go with his silver to get a reasonable offer on the bulk, and fair consideration of whatever keys he pulls out?
I am around Tampa now but I havent really found any dealers. There is the Tampa Coin and Stamp Expo every few months I think. At least in April and October I know for sure. There are also other shows around, those are where I usually do my buying/selling.
I've never dealt with any of the coin dealers in the Tampa area even though I live here. I'll give you a couple and their phone numbers, but he can find them on line also. I was going to send you a PM with my email address, but unable to send you one. Anyway two are: Glider Coin & Stamp 879-6670 and American Rare Coin Galleries 831-2646. Hope this helps

I've dealt with Glen & Dale. So recommend them too! Ok when he goes to sell the stuff some dealers will pay scrape for it but if he brings the keys with him, they may pay more for it due to the keys. Some dealers won't buy it if it's just junk.
