philippine paper money under japanese occupation. also known as mickey mouse money. because it is worthless. the japanese government keep printing many of this type of money. i remembered i used of have many bundles of crisp uncirculated paper money. denominations like 100 peso, 10 peso, 5 peso, one peso, 50 centovo, 20 centavo, 10 centavo, and 5 centavo, all paper money. later on, we used that money to play games. like monopoly during the liberaltion. japan lost the war. the american take over. in 1946. philippines declared independence.

I have some of that "funny money" at home from an uncle who picked it up while serving in the pacific during World War II. I wished he brought home some of the missing gold instead but the importent thing was, as my mom would say, that he came home.

Mine was given to me by a nice guy at the FUN show a few years ago, he said they were rare (I don't remember how), but not worth anything do to the cond.
They're very commonly found over here in New Zealand.The Japanese Occupation of Oceania issues are the hardest to find.I don't collect those,as they're not British Commonwealth issues. Aidan.
Not really rare as far as I know. I've got those two & two from Burma (all UNC), think I paid about $2 total for all of them.
