Is this classed as an error coin? Looking through some cents I have and noticed it is slightly off center. What do you think? Thanks
Welcome to Coin Talk. It is a slightly off center strike. It is a very minor mint error and somewhat common. It does not carry any premium value. Off center strikes that are more pronounced would carry an increased value to error/ variety collectors.

There is no 'tolerance' for off center strikes. By definition, an off center coin has to be missing part of the design elements, even if it's just the tops of Lettering, for example. Your coin is a minor, fairly common, mis-aligned obverse die. Notice that there is no lettering or design of the Cent missing - (Sometimes coins are broad struck out of the collar, and have a blank portion that makes them look like an off center error - but if there is no missing design, it's called an uncentered broad strike.)
@Lawtoad Actually.. It's a Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse side. There is a difference in Off-Center strikes and Misaligned Die Strikes Oh wait.. Fred just answered He hit post a millisecond before I did!
@paddyman98 You and Fred are absolutely correct. It is a misaligned die. Not sure why I thought off center strike. I probably need to look at the differences again. Also not jump so quick to answer questions on CT. LOL
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Lawtoad your quick response may have prompted other responses. I think all constructive input is for the good of the cause. And possibly prompted others to get involved. Thanks to everyone.
