Back in the day when I was a budding collector, I used to order from the company and would receive profit shares based on how much I spent.

Recently, a friend of mine who cleans out houses found a bunch of these, not a ton, but several thousands worth of the profit share certificates.

Anyone know if you can still redeem them? These literally look t like the ones I received back in the 90s.

Looks like maybe you needed to redeem within 5 years? Maybe that is a new rule. I would call the company.

Just call Littleton and ask if they will let your friend redeem them.

I bet now they do everything online and no longer mail the paper certificates.

They were going to be gifted to me! I did, that takes me back about 25 years! Looks like I'm outta luck though. Might've been able to get some free flips with them, which is what I used to do with them.

Sell them as a coin collectible.:)

There's gotta be someone who considers them collectible. Maybe there are two people, and you can get them bidding against each other...

Wouldn’t that be nice. To have the certificates be worth more now than when they were issued.

Small lots, you don't want to flood the market on such a rare item.:D

This reminds me of the coupons that Raleigh cigarettes used to include on their packs and cartons. My mother used to smoke them before her doctor told her it was useless for her to come to him because she was going to kill herself smoking them. She came home and tore up every pack and quit cold turkey.

At any rate, the coupons were scam. They had expiration dates on them. Unless you were a pack a day + smoker, you never were able to save enough coupons to get anything.

I used to think it would be appropriate if they offered cancer treatments as one of the prizes. My father and I were always on her to stop smoking, but nothing worked until she got that message from her doctor.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents saved Marlboro miles to get things!

Didn't anyone save any wholesome S&H Green Stamps? :)

Yes my parents saved those. At least they didn’t have an expiration date, and you got them for buying worthwhile stuff, like food. They were so popular for a while that there was a retail redemption center in a neighboring town when I was a child.

I started learning to play on a guitar that came from the S&H Green Stamp store.
