Embarrassing! Title Correction: Just Paid $55 for (3) *Mexico* $100 Peso Bimetallic Coins I'm obsessed with Mexico's more recent bimetallic coins, but can never seem to find them for a decent price. I just purchased 1 2003, and 2 2004 coins for $55 total. Good deal, bad deal, know where to get them cheaper? Here's the ones I purchased:
mexico for starters...lol Whats the US dollar equivelant to a peso? Very cool looking coins you got there too BTW!
omg. so embarrassing. lol. Also, not sure what the USD equivalent to Peso is, but the center of these coins is sterling silver. I've read different numbers on different sites, but I believe the sterling silver centers to weigh .649 Oz ASW. I suppose if that is correct, than $55 for all three would be decent.
I think you will find that the center is silver, so the price should be more than face. Uncirculated are in the $30 range. I haven't looked up the amount or purity of the silver. Jim
Hey, thanks Jim. I asked the seller if they had more, and they told me they have about 18 more and offered them to me @ $18 a piece. I think I might take them up on a few of those.
Check out the silver amount first. I don't want to give a wrong answer if you are going to buy more,. Research. Jim
