Not my series, I have no idea without looking at a price guide what the value is. So here are some of the things I look at. 1. Obverse Pretty close to full rims and full date. 2. Obverse There is no distracting damage. 3. Reverse Pretty close to full rims. 4. Reverse I see green, most likely PVC #4 would make me pass on this coin, mainly because I don't like to try to "Fix" coins, and in this case it needs fixing.
This may not be helpful but I try to avoid buying something only later to ask if I did ok. If I don't know what something is worth I try to research it a bit, just like any other purchase such as a car or computer.
1986 Vett the seller is one of the better eBay seller. He one that will not clean up to sell coins and won't say there so rare varies for baiting buyers and bidder. Nice Buffalo nickel!!!
I agree. I try to know the market before I purchase. It doesn't always work that way, since I cannot know every market, but for something as tiny as the buffalo nickel market it should be easy enough to become an expert in it. So, what I am saying OP, is I would buy an excellent book on the series, study price trends, and know before clicking.
