    Hey guys,

I’ve been keeping my eyes on Ebay to see how much the 2021 stuff is selling for.

To my absolute shock I saw this full 6 coin set of MS70 2021 Morgans & Peace sold for $3,400! o_O

That’s not the only full set that sold for such an outrageous price either.

    Even just the S & D in MS70 are selling for $1,000!

Do you think it might be worth sending in the 2021 stuff for grading?

I got 3 of each coin except the CC & O and if just 1 of 3 managed to nab the MS70 grade I would be able to cover the cost of my own set.

The prices are gonna be crazy for awhile until the hype dies down and the prices will plummet - like almost every other mint product.

You think so? The Morgan & Peace dollars are very popular coins.

Take a look at the V75 Proof American Silver Eagle that came out last year with a 75,000 mintage. The price on it has only gone up not down.

I think this series will be very popular even though some people don’t like it.

Yes it would be worth it especially since you have multiple.

I think the mintages are pretty high. Almost 3x per coin than the V75 proof (if my math is right).
May be a popular series but I don't think it will command such insane premiums like it is right now.

That’s true. The mintage is much higher.

However at the same time I think more people collect Morgan Dollars than American Silver Eagles.

I plan on saving mine and passing it down when I die since I think decades from now it will become a popular collectible coin.

Especially the ones that tone beautiful colors.

I may send mine in to see how they grade. One of the two type 2 silver eagle proofs I got was scratched from the mint .

Dont feel bad that happened to my V75. It has a tiny hairline scratch right over the privy mark. :(

But there was nothing I could do. If I sent it back I’d only get a refund of $87.95 and even with the hairline scratch it’s still worth more than that.

JM Bullion is selling them uncertified for $700 so I’m sure there are plenty of collectors who would buy it with a hairline scratch if they could get it for like $300.

True my V-75 has a few little marks here and there . I’d guess it’s a 68 . I was not going to return it haha .

Fortunately it’s really hard to see that stuff unless you’re using a bright light and know exactly where to look.

I think the average passerby would completely miss it.

My hope is that over time the coin will tone beautifully so that it’s almost impossible to see. Especially in the capsule.

Do you normally send commemoratives to be graded? These are commemoratives.

    Sometimes!

My uncle bought me this California commemorative as a raw coin and I did send it in to be graded.

I’m glad I did send it in!

When he bought it the 2x2 was labeled as “BU” and that can mean anything from 60 and up.

It definitely has a higher value as a PCGS 64.

I believe those commemoratives were issued for circulation. Nice coin.

According to Red Book & Blue Book they’re having trouble categorizing them but they do say they are not commems.

But I guess everyone has their own opinions on it.

"...not commems, in the legislated sense..." But, to me they are. But, to each his own.

OK you have shown prices for MS-70 coins. Can you guarantee the coins you send in will come back as 70's? What if the come back as 69's? 68'S or GASP even lower? Since today on moderns everyone seems to insist on 69's or 70's, if you don't get those lofty grades you may end up with having more in the coin than it's worth.

I definitely don’t think they’ll come back 68 under any circumstance. Especially if I send them in still US Mint sealed.

It’s true some of them could come back MS69 but because I have 3 of each chances are I’ll get at least 1 MS70 of each coin.

Just look at American Silver Eagles. There are just as many 70s in slabs as there are 69s and it’s very rare to see an MS 68 American Silver Eagle unless someone scratched it or something.

You know….. Though I am not a fan of it, these modern high grade ASE’s and the like are bringing some serious premiums. I don’t care for the trend, but if folks are going to lay that kind of coin down for a label, get in while the getting is good. Why not?

I do, I just sent my 3 Silver Eagle Proofs to PCGS today. And I am watching the "promises" of MS70 grades for the CC & O Morgans. I was able to get 3 of each and will have them graded including the 3 S Mints I got today.. Unless I can find someone who might want to work a deal for a V75 and/or a 2021 Peace Dollar.
