Now, I'm new here and I just want to know if Cointalk is just for US coins IN EVERY THREAD NOT JUST WORLD COINS SECTION. I assume not
Absolutely not, all coins and medals, tokens and other things get posted. Click on FORUMS up top and find the best sub forum below. https://www.cointalk.com/forums/ And Welcome!
Select the best forum and post away…members will advise a better choice, and this is not them being meanies…a better forum gives you better responses. …imo…Spark
There are a number of different forums on CT. We even have a General Discussion form for non coins so post away and welcome to CT.
...and if you insist on getting confrontational and political, Peter also has something called PartisanLines or some such @Peter T Davis
One word of caution… We CoinTalk junkies love to look at photos of members coins so we post a lot of them….. I was a happy and very content US coin collector until I made the mistake of viewing some of the ancients threads. My bank account has suffered greatly at the hands of some of the Ancients threads.
As others have said you assume correctly. CT is for the discussion of anything and everything that has to do with numismatics. And not just coins, but paper money, bullion, books, medals, tokens, etc etc. And if you don't see a particular forum section that looks like where you want to post whatever, look at what it says at the top of the Coin Chat section, which is the one where we are now. Under the words Coin Chat at the top it says - Please use this section for discussion of numismatic topics that don't fit in other sections. You should also be sure to read the forum rules to make sure you know what you can (and where), and cannot (and where not), post on this forum - https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coin-talk-rules.34131/
Welcome! Many forums and interesting reads and many with knowledge here. Many have been here for years. They know their stuff!
