Im not sure what to do with it. It weighs and doesn't stick to any magnets

Hello Danni, welcome to CT! Test it with a magnet. If magnetic, it was copper plated after the mint. Let us know your results....

The OP stated that it does not stick to a magnet.

There are Chinese fakes out there. Looks off a bit to me.

    Yay! Happy Memorial Day.
I believe Denver is the rare one, with more from San Fran and most from
Philly. Checking........ my online source (which is not perfect) shows 20 Phillies, 5 SF and only 1 Denver.
It is highly unlikely this is authentic.

Color seems off. Reverse would be helpful.

Compare yours, to the only known 1943-D copper cent

Let me try another pic (rims look better here) As I said your color is off,
and it is in remarkable condition, which is unlikely unless someone kept in a drawer for 75 years. And then it would still be more chocolate looking.

Danni, where did you find this cent? I really can't help you with identifying it as real, did you weigh the coin? Honestly the odds are completely against you. The MM placement is not the same as the only known Denver example Michael K posted. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It does make it hard to help without better photos. The Chinese are getting better at producing good fakes.

Wouldn't that be nice if it were real. But 99.99999999999% chance that it's not.

What does it weigh? Without that piece of information, we can't help you

The D mm is very straight. I didn't realize that in the sideways orientation.
I'm not sure what this discoloration is:

Weight will be the key factor here. Use a scale that goes done to the 1/100th of a gram then we can really know.
