I've looked for about an hour now across the web trying to figure out what this coin is. It is a 1916 George V coin. On the front, around the edge, it says "georgivs v dei gra rex et ind imp".

On the back, you can barely read the year (1916). It has a wreath around it, and a crown at the top. In the middle, all you can read are the letters "EN" in the middlish (see the pictures)

    What is this coin?!

lol...Twiggs . first one also 10 cent Canadian. No date no value. Big Brother 50 Cent Coin Canadian. Still no date. However silver value is there. Shame about big brother though. If was a 1921 you would be looking at somewhere around $25,000.00 in VG condition. ...lol

Well, it's already been answered, but if you were curious about what this coin used to look like...

I can't even recall where I got the coins from. I like them for their looks even if the dates are missing. Big brother is from 1912-1919 according to description of writing and where the crown is between letters.

    Would nic-a-date help?

The coins issued prior to 1920 are of .925 fine silver. Those issued from 1920 to 1967 are of .800 fine silver.

    Aidan.
