1991 penny no mint mark. There is a lower case "e" next to Lincoln's ear. Also looks to be a double die . little new to this not sure if this could be a double ear or something completely new. Any info on what i may have or the rarity of this coin is appreciated....
Correct.. Not a Mint Error. A 1991 Cent is Copper Plated Zinc. That is a small plating issue bubble. There is no letter e that small that would be stamped onto the surface of your Cent
He's referring to the CUD behind Lincoln's ear; it may resemble an e but it is a cud; esp since there is no lower case letters for cents.
We know what OP is referring to. No, it's not a cud. A cud stems from a broken die and always involves the rim of a coin.
I see no Doubling. If you do it's most likely Die Deterioration Doubling that has nothing related to a Doubled Die By the way.. The correct terminology is Doubled Die, not Double Die https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubled_die Quote - "Note that the proper terminology for this occurrence includes the letter 'd' at the end of the first word, hence "doubled die". The term "double die" without the first word ending in 'd' is not proper numismatic terminology." closed quote
