Here is a Hong Kong dollar which was included in a lot of world coins I got a few months ago. It's not worth a whole lot and it's not in great condition, but neat never-the-less Take Care Bone
KM#31.1 (60¢ VF, $1.25 XF, $5.50 Unc) or 31.2 ($4 F, $7 VF, $15 XF, $30 Unc), depending on the edge reeding. Does the edge have reeding all around, or is there a security design? (Full reeding is an error on the 1960 Heaton coins only). Not trying to rain on your parade Bone, but where"s the mint mark There should be either an "H" (Heaton) or "KN" (King's Norton) at 5 o'clock on the reverse, beneath the "LL" .
LOL, no rain here seems to be a TINY H under the LL. Here is the edge. It looks like a combination of reeding and beads with two blank sections 1/2 the way around the coin. Take Care B
Ben,that's normal. If it has a milled edge, then that is a very interesting error that is worth looking out for & hanging on to. Aidan.
Boy, I sure missed that on the original photo, although now that I have seen the blowup I can spot it on the original. The edge is the standard Hong Kong "security" edge, so I'll go with KM#31.1, the "errorless" version, For some reason that particular bust of Queen Elizabeth always reminds me of the Tenniel drawings of the Red Queen in Alice Through the Lookinglass. :mouth:
cool i have the exact same coin ...but in mint cond..... but its still a great coin and also its bigger than all the other hong kong 1 dollars.
