At my local coin shop, there is a box of foreign coins, priced at 8 for $1. What a bargain! I bought a few dollars worth of these rarely-seen around here coins. I was able to identify most of them, but there are a few that I have no clue about. Here are some of them. the 7th/8th photo is a current Japanese 1 yen, and the 10th/11th photo is an israeli 5 sheqel. both are common and worth their exchange-value (1.1c for the yen, $1.40 for the 5 shequel)
#1-#4 are Thailand Satang #1 the left side of the photo is the bottom of the coin; #2 the right side is the bottom #3 #4 the top of the photo is the bottom of the coin
believe #16-17 is also Thailand, don't have my world book at the moment though, so not sure denomination
#5 and #6: Japanese 10円 (10 yen) Date: 昭和五十五年 (Showa 55) (Western calendar: 1980) 95% Copper. #7 and #8: Japanese 1円 (1 yen) Date: 昭和五十三年 (Showa 53) (Western calendar: 1978) Aluminum. #9: Japanese 5円 (5 yen) Date: ? Not a 5 sheqel coin. Denomination is also in English. If not familiar/can't actually read what it says - just skip it.
