What are Green Box Proofs? I don't recall US coin proof sets coming in green boxes. Why would the boxes be changed to green suddenly from blue?

Proof sets were issued in green boxes from 1994-1998 (5 years). The Mint has changed the color/design of the packaging many times, they were even black for a while and before that White and brown envelopes. Nothing wrong with change.

If you don't like change ...keep away from the mint set issues ...those change EVERY year....lol.

I don't mind change but I can't recall the proofs coming in green boxes. You are correct as I do recall proofs coming in black boxes, too.

now they have three color for boxes on proof sets..........red, blue and green.

well i will stick to color red for silver proof set and color blue for clad proof set.
