Sometimes that Susan B can tone that color. If it hasn't been experimented with, it's normal it's worth a dollar. On the 1979 P the rare ones are the "wide rim, near date" The date will be very close to the rim. Photo below. There is no 1980-S Type 2, see chart below. The 1981-S Type 2 might be something, but I can't tell from your photo which S it is.
that gold colored 1 was gold plated. not worth that much at all. you can do a search on Ebay to see what the sold ones get price wise.
The gold color one is narrow,The 1980-s is wide the# are apon the edge.The1979-s is narrow, as for the 1981-s it is wide .Thank you for the help .
I like your 81-S either way. I can't tell which it is, but the Type-2 is very valuable. As the type 1 is listed at $6 and the Type-2 over $100. As much as $144 high retail. But I can't tell the difference.
The 1887 Indian Head Cent is very damaged. It looks as if someone took a wire brush to it to try to clean it. And the green stuff on the obverse and reverse could be verdigris (copper rot). While I like the war nickels very much, these are also circulated and common. But the point in collecting coins is, if you like them that's what matters. They are still old and 35% silver which is cool. And you can always keep learning more and more about them.
The 1887 is my oldest, the war time are beat up yet they are very few,as each day goes by.I have a 1923-s penny in good shape.lets see what other pics I have, well goodnight all
