Has anyone done business with Gainesville Coins (www.gainesvillecoins.com ) and found them to be reputable? They are selling ASEs for $2.75 over spot, which i think is reasonable, just havent heard anything about them. Shipping seems reasonable too.

Please let me know your thoughts - have a great day!

I've dealt with them in the past and they were fine. I have 5 dealer sites I check when I am looking for something in particular. Each of them is good and, in some cases, some are better than others depending upon the item I want. It's good to look at both the item price and shipping costs when deciding whom to patronize.

    Provident Metals
    Modern Coin Mart
    APMEX
    Mint Products
    Gainesville Coins

Mixed reviews it seems, I have never used them.

I typically use providentmetals.com, they have eagles for 2.59 over on 500+, 2.89 over on a 100+, 3.19 over on 20+ and 3.49 for less than 20. Decent prices, and there shipping is reasonable.

You can buy generic rounds for .99 over spot, personally I think that is a better deal but some just have to have eagles  which is alright

A guy I use to watch on YouTube always talked about them. Said they were legit. Never personally done business with them. Do a YouTube search, you'll find what you're looking for.

Yea, I'd personally stay with provident, if you're buying small amounts, the cheap shipping usually makes up the difference.

Thanks for replies. I have done quite a bit of business with APMEX, but prices seem to be getting more expensive. For example, as of 1/31/2013 at 5:15pm, the price for 1 roll (20 coins) of 2013 ASEs:

    APMEX: $719.80 + S&H

    Provident: $693.00 + S&H

    Gainesville: $685.92 + S&H

Spot is currently at 31.39, so there is a pretty big difference here. Shipping and Handling were all within $3 of one another.

Meh, anyway thanks for the replies. Want to be sure I dont get taken for a ride - never can tell when dealing over the interwebs. Prefer face to face, but that seems to be getting harder and harder these days (as I sit here and type away furiously on my computer, alone in my basement). The irony is overwhelming...

I have dealt with Gainesville several times and will again. I have no complaints or problems with them.

I checked shipping, Gainesville's cheapest option was 19.80 and Providents shipping was 11.95, that actually makes Provident slightly cheaper. They have a pretty good reputation, I'd go with them if I where you, but thats just my opinion.

Here's the actual totals with shipping included given your spot price of 31.39:

    Apmex: $739.75
    Gainesville: $705.72
    Provident: $704.95

I bought from them once. It was good - I had no complaints.

Gainesville is excellent. I've ordered from them and bought from them at the FUN shows.
I generally look at Provident and Gainesville and then order from one based on total cost and availability.
