Generally, when something doesn't look right to you & you have to ask, what you should really do is pass on it. As most on this site will tell you, after they have missed on one, another almost always comes along.

You already stated that you are not experienced with this coin. That's a real disadvantage when you're trying to make a determination based on a web site picture. Regardless of the determinations made by many, trying to assess the "real" truth based on pics. is a dubious adventure, due to the nature & methods of taking pics of coins: for example, the way one would play with light to either "highlight" or reduce certain elements of the coin. And you're dealing with eBay, so...

(for items such as this, when you don't have the experience, go to Heritage, Stacks Bowers or similar house that deals with these routinely. It may cost a little more than finding that "special deal" on eBay, but it will be worth it!)

No, I think you should pass on it...another will come around. In the meantime, visit a coin shop to see what they should look like "in hand".

Definitely fake. I bought one 6 years or so ago. Held a strong magnet close to it and it flew out of my hand. Lucky enough to get my money back. I've notified others sellers about this type of coin. Some take the listing down, some don't. I read somewhere a couple years ago that a person was selling these bogus coins at a show in Texas for $2 a piece.

I think your instinct that something did not look right was . . . well . . . right on the mark. See the example here - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7394.html.

To name only a few problems my eyes point out. The eagle's right claw (is that the right word?) really looks off. And the entire reverse just doesn't look right. No star. Dots below instead of centered. Liberty looks very poorly engraved.

Compare the rim and dentils with a real one, too.
