Just came across this ad of a silver American Gold Eagle covered with 14k Gold and check out how much the seller is asking! I'm shocked to see it, first one, maybe the Secret Service or whoever takes care of counterfeits will do something about it! I'm thinking it should be marked as a COPY but Ebay don't care as the almighty dollar is their only care. Three words that stick out to me. 1) India 2) Shitala 3) Jewels ! I especially like the name SHITALA Jewels.
The first four letters of the user name says it all. I reported it. Ebay does care, but it's up to us to report the items.
Actually, looking at it, they are being up front that it is silver and gold plated. With that being said, I guess it could be counted as being counterfeit.
I think how there getting away with this is using the word yellow gold platted and trying to fool people that it is a authentic 1/10 Oz American eagle since there not saying that eBay may not require the copy stamp, they just want you to assume it’s real.

Interesting, they have no pics of the back of the coin but they do mention its only 14k and that's plated, lesson, know what your buying !
