Hi, I just found a 1999 Georgia Quarter with 500m MAX stamped on the back under the peach.
Has anyone seen this before, any idea of the worth?
    Thanks

    It's now a 'damaged' coin.

    Those numbers/letters were punched
into the coin after it was in circulation.

It was not made at the Mint like that.....
    Sorry.......worth face value only.

    Like Fred said, it's damage.

When you see numbers and letters incused into the coin such as yours, it is done with a counterstamp or countermark. As mentioned.. Damaged. Not a Mint Error and only worth 25 Cents.

Hi I was just wondering do you still have this coin by chance because if so then it has to do with the Georgia guide soon as I believe reducing the population down to 500 coin being Georgia and I have one exactly like it

So.. What the heck does it mean? Georgia guide?
    It's just a counterstamp!

By the way the original poster was last seen October 2017 so most likely he will not see your messge since he only joined to show this 1 quarter.

That looks like part of the Quarter Notes project.

I'd have to give it some thought to figure it out but 500M MAX is some sort of play on words or pun involving Georgia or peaches.

A quick Internet search turned up this (excerpts from a longer description):

The Georgia Guidestones are a granite monument erected in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, in the United States. A set of 10 guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages and a shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts.

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Traditional Chinese, and Russian.

    There's your 500M MAX (500,000,000 maximum).

Why @JBK, you sly dog, you. ;)

Look what arrived unexpectedly in my mailbox last week. Didn't get around to posting it until just now.

    Neato. :)

(It should be noted that I live in Georgia.)

Mine has a variant counterstamp along the same theme: "500M PEOPLE".
