Curious about mintages on 1917 d/d.

    Just wondered about it. I have only seen included in the total mintage when I looked.

    Mintages not included because nobody really knows the actual mintage of over strikes, double dies etc, most of the time it's done on accident? not part regular strike.

    How does "coins" magazine estmate the mintages on the Wisconsin error to 12000 for both types.

    I think I have seen more than that on ebay.
