I found this Quarter in my change. It has coin wrapper crimper machine damage on the Obverse.
We see these every once in a while here on CoinTalk.

I'm just wondering how the crimper works and how it could damage the coins.
Does anyone own one or ever used it? o_O

Cool.. I just found this video for a Klopp machine.

But in the end he explains that the piece you put the roll in has a plastic face to protect the coin from getting damaged.

It happens. During detecting the coin could be anywhere in the clod of dirt so it can get kissed by the edge of the sharp tool for digging :(

I have no idea and no experience with those machines but I’ve always been told it’s the setting on the machine and how you hold the roll in them that makes that mark. The end coin is damaged but at least yours is a clad.

Thanks for the post and video Ed. Nice to learn about that particular machine. I imagine there are several different manufactures and as a machine gets worn, it could cause the end coin damage. Sounds reasonable.

It must owned by a lot of "unopened rolls" sellers on ebay.
