I'm definitely going to the Raleigh show. I've been going for years and always find some great coins to add to my collection. The Raleigh Coin Club has been expanding the show the past few years and adding new attractions. It's definitely not the typical small local coin club show. I saw on their web site that they're having some talks on Friday about North Carolina gold and on Saturday about the Civil War. I plan on attending talks on both days. See you there!
I will be at the Raleigh show Friday, but have to work the weekend. Had to rearrange my work schedule to be able to go. I always seem to have to work the weekends they have their shows. I am making it a point to be there this time.
I will also be at the Raleigh show Friday and maybe Saturday as well depending. So if you guys see me, flag me down....like you would know who I am...LOL!!!
Which one Allan? There's three in Penna and one across the river from Easton in Jersey...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philipsburg,_Pennsylvania
I was going to get there around then, but my kids have a dentist appointment. I only live an hour away, so I will get there by 1ish. I usually don't have much money to spend. I just cash out my junk silver and walk around all day
I am driving up from New Bern and plan to spend several hours at the show. I have a pretty concrete list of coins/currency I am after and I also have to make a couple of sales on some seated material i need to move out of my collection
I'll be easy to spot — I look just like George Clooney. A younger George Clooney, that is. Seriously, look for the guy in the khaki colored Nike cap. I seldom go anywhere without it!
I'll be going to the Raleigh show Friday and maybe for awhile Saturday...not sure. Depends on whether I want to wander around the show more after Friday. Friday and Saturday the show is 10am to 6pm.
Any updates on the Raleigh show? Im like a kid at Christmas. I dont know how I will even sleep tonight
I was there today from 2-6. Lots of dealers. Light traffic. I actually didn't buy anything. I generally don't at coin shows. I can't get good enough prices.
Thats nice to hear, I mean not for the dealers, but for me. I hope all of the good coins I want are still on the tables. Im taking about $1000+ worth of coins to sell and another $1500 or so in cash to hopefully pull in a few different items for the collection. Hope its worth the 2 hour drive in the morning, if not I will be coming home with a pocket full of moolah
I only had a few items I was hunting for and nobody had them. I did get to hold a 1939 D Mercury dime PCGS MS69FB. About an $8000 coin. I was just looking for a $150 coin and he brought that out. Nice dealers throughout the show.
Cool, I am excited. I have never been to a show even this large, our club show generally hosts about 20-25 dealers at about 30 tables, so I am hoping for some material to keep me around for a few hours. I will be hunting BU jeffersons, BU Un Pesos, graded seated quarters, and some obsolete currency in XF+ Im thinking with that spread I should be able to find something to buy. If not I will just settle on a couple of nice coins and move along to a venue that has what I am after.
