My son wanted to drive me to this as my truck is not viable but we are going to a dealer to look at the new Ford Maverick pick up's instead. Would have been a 2+ hour drive for us.
coinzip is or was a member of CoinTalk He would post all the current shows for us going on around the US He hasn't been back in a while..
pictures of show, first are just general pics of show, next post is my booth...these were taken about 9am, around 11 am you could not even walk in there, we saw maybe 250-300 people the day..i did ok, sold some bullion and some moderns..and wholesaled some supplies..the next show this guy promotes is in nashua, nh next week, not going to that one, but will be at the devens , ma show on the 28th though...will post more info when close to date, also might hit the april 15th-16th show in manchester, nh..there are 200 tables at that one (twice the size of this one went to..picked up some 2021-d lincoln unc rolls and 2 error ikes out of a junk box for 1.50 ea....will post under errors...thanks for looking..
pictures of my booth, oh forgot to add, that anacs certification, 14.00 per coin in lots of 10 rep is at these shows..neat..
i had brought some cards, stamps, first day covers and books, took 2 8 foot tables, think if i just stick to coins can get 2 6 footers at next show, table cost was 120.00....gheesh, i remember when a show table was 25-35 per spot, and discounted 5,00 off if 3 or more back in the 78-82 era when i was doing this fulltime..prices sure have gone up, the guy next to me sold several pounds of silver bars and gold as well as must have been 500.00 in face of 90%, all day long heard his coin counter counting scrap silver, lol....anyways, hope you enjoy the pics, and maybe next time see some of you there, i need a coin talk button though so people can see me representing....
I’m a bit surprised at the lack of masking evident in the photos. Baltimore will be strictly enforced, and that’s my first venture back since this whole mess started. Hate to seem like such a stick in the mud, but 5 of my co-workers tested positive almost 2 weeks ago. I squeaked past that one by the skin of my teeth!
Good point: about the masks. I only saw one person wearing one in all of the pictures. I was going to go to Baltimore, I really wanted to go. But, then the latest variant showed up, and I decided to pass.
Nice looking tables! I'm in central / SE Connecticut so I'd think about it, but probably will wait until / unless the COVID thing calms down, I'm fully vaccinated but I help my parents out, and they are vulnerable so I have to be careful. Do you sell online too?
