I'm going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there were any coin dealers on the strip.

I thought Sahara is off the strip a few miles on Sahara Ave.
I don't know of a shop actually on the strip.
There was one in the Riviera but they blew that hotel down.

Of all the ones in Vegas, this is the one I would maybe recommend. Haven't been there in over 10 years, but I remember them seeming reasonable (for a coin store). You won't find anything actually on the strip, unless something's changed.

Well, can you get on a bus, get a taxi or do you have a car? There’s nothing coin wise on the strip. If you really want to go coin shopping, that’s the place and it’s really not that far off the strip. Maybe 15 minutes.

Taxis are a big rip off in Vegas. I refuse Uber or Lyft cuz its like getting into a strangers car plus the vehicle may not be insured. Bus is an option but I have to know the routes.

Sahara and Tenaya is where the coin store is located, this bus will get you to and from the Stratosphere (on Las Vegas Blvd, or "The Strip"). It's around a 30 minute trip each way. That stop will get you to the strip's monorail for traveling around the Strip. Sahara is a bit more north comparative to the rest of the Strip, but you can go see old Vegas, the Freemont Street Experience, Golden Nugget (my dad works there) and some of the more authentic, older views. The area is known as "Old Vegas" and is generally cheaper in terms of eating, drinking and gambling than the rest of the Strip.

Note: it can be a little confusing because the timelines do not show every stop, but the major ones. Rainbow is the next major stop just east of Tenaya, so if you plan a few minutes off that time, you should be able to catch the bus no problem.

The pawn stars store has coins. It’s on Vegas blvd. I’ve made a few purchases there. It’s worth seeing if you’re into the tv show.

I’ve been down to AAA coin next to the D casino on Fremont st and 3rd. Small little shop guy was friendly who ran it. Fremont st is worth a visit if you’ve never been to Vegas.

That’s about all I can think of. Good luck.

Anything on the strip would be a tourist trap with over-priced items. There may be a pawn shop somewhere on the strip, but that would again be over-priced. Just spend your money on a table, which is what the city of Las Vegas wants you to do with your money.

The two coin shops I mentioned are fair. Off strip you can get taken but not as badly as gambling on a strip property. That’s the ultimate rip off.

Resort fees are the biggest rip off in Vegas.
