I have a close friend that has inherited silver certificate dollar bills from his father’s estate. He has (22) series 1957, (1) series 1935 e, (4) series 1935 f, and (1) series 1935 g…….all have the blue seal on then. They appear to be unused. How would you recommend I check their values out for my friend?

Hello! Do you have some Pics? In order to help, we need to see the condition of some of the notes.
I'm no expert in Currency but have a small collection and some experience. Here's an online link for "ballpark" values.

Happy I found this thread. I have a misprinted 1935 d silver certificate. Can anyone give me a ball park range for what those are worth?

It would be best and you’ll receive more answers if you started you own thread and you will need photos of both sides. This is necessary to give honest feedback on your bill. Welcome to CT.

Raw I presume, right ? Graded I would think they'd sell for more since you definitely know the grade AND the bill is protected.

I've found some coin dealers like a LCS or two that won't buy ANY raw Silver Certificates because the price is so low...supply plentiful...and demand slack. :(

Suppose I have 6 sequential $1 silver certificates in good condition. DOes that increase the value in the set? I would think it would

It may add a very small pressure to them but they need to be sold as a group. My LCS wouldn’t do that.

I saw a 1930's Silver Certificate got sold on HA for low-4 figures. It was graded PMG-69...can't recall seeing 69's that old before, thought 1957 or even 1963 were the most dated ones.

    You folks seen 1930's 69-graded SC's/bills ? No 70's that old I take it ?

In high-60's condition, maybe. Graded & certified they would sell for a premium to the value of the grading costs and holder costs.

Raw...if they are not in a super-high grade you can often not get a buyer. My LCS won't buy them and he buys most everything. Too many, unless someone wants to sell them to him below FV. :D
