Because that's eBay. Anyone can list almost anything for any amount of money. It doesn't necessarily mean it's worth that much! I had to explain this to my step son who wanted to know why there were 1961 Denver Cents with no errors nor varieties listed for $200.00?
Thats it. And there is a different want a price and get the price! Look at this eBay offer here: 2 Euro Strichmännchen You can find this coin at different auctions - up to 10.000 Euro and more - because the owner think, this was a error issue - but it was a completely normal mint you can buy at a serious coin seller for 4-5 Euro.
And then somebody posts one of those "get rich" videos claiming a coin is worth gobs of money because of the asking price on one of these bogus ebay or etsy listings.
I have two of them from when my dad was stationed in Germany. I'm rich! Highest mintage of the whole series. Numista says in UNC it's worth $1.90. Not sure where these sellers come up with this stuff. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces850.html
