Hi guys. I was wondering which banks do you get your coins from? Also what do you think about them? My bank is about to dump me so I need to find a new bank quickly.

Are you using a bank or a CU? In my experience, CU's are way more helpful when it comes to ordering coin that banks are.

"My bank is about to dump me"... how'd that happen?
I get coins from TD bank and Chase regularly (i.e I have accounts there). Generally, I pick up coins from chase and dump at TD, but not always.
*edit*- Just a note, TD will not order boxes of halves, but chase will.

I'm not the one with a bank problem ... lol ... also, there's a chase bank on the other corner.

My bank is Wells Fargo. The teller that orders coin for me just told me today that they are ordering coins differently and they may not be able to order coins for me any more.

My experience is that it's not so much the bank as the branch. I have accounts at a couple national banks. One branch from bank A will order boxes when another from bank A won't.
It seems like the tellers from rural branches are more helpful than suburban branches, urban branches I have to explain exactly what I need a few times until they just do it with a confused look on their face. The dynamic is pretty interesting when you start to think about it. Multifaceted.

I use Rabobank and they order anything I want as long as they are ordering, which is every week. My dump bank is my Credit Union (Golden 1) that I've been banking at for over 25 years, but they will order for me as well.

So what exactly do you ask for when you go to the CU? I haven't searched rolls since I was a kid. Do you ask for rolls of circulated coins? Bags?
I'm just getting into roll searching and I'm not sure how to get them and how to get rid of them.

I used to buy bags off their coin counter but then they got rid of the machine. Now I just ask them to order me boxes. They just add it into their weekly order from Loomis. I have 2 different CU's that I use. One that orders me coin weekly and then the other where I dump into their machines. One is serviced by Loomis and the other by Dunbar or Brinks. I spent a couple months marking coins to see if they came back through and I didn't see a single one. I think I have a pretty good set up going...when the bank remembers to order for me...
